Last weekend, my work was on display at the GIGALERIE during the 50th anniversary of GIGANT. A weekend featuring fifty artworks by Apeldoorn artists, all themed around the theme "Through Time." For me, GIGANT is a place full of memories. I used to go there often with friends, so a moment like this always feels a bit like coming home.
The Opening on Saturday
The opening took place in the renovated GIGANT Café. It had a relaxed, lively atmosphere with many visitors and wonderful conversations. Among the fifty works was my own piece, "Raw Earth 253" (RA-P_253). Made on handmade paper from the historic De Middelste Molen paper mill, it perfectly matched the theme. The material literally bears the marks of time and craftsmanship.

My Work in the Living Room of GIGANT
My work was on display all weekend on the first floor, in the living room of GIGANT. A pleasant and peaceful place where many people stopped to take a look. The combination of the space and the light really showcased the work.
The following Sunday
The art exhibition was also well-attended on Sunday. Visitors continued to drop in throughout the day and took their time wandering through the GIGALERIE.

Grateful and inspired
Thanks to everyone who came by. It means a lot to me to see that people, family, friends, acquaintances, and new visitors come specifically to see it.
For me, the art exhibition in the GIGALERIE during GIGANT's 50th anniversary was a mix of nostalgia, appreciation, and new inspiration. A wonderful weekend to look back on.
