I have great news: my work, "Raw Earth Paper 253," is on display at GIGALERIE, the anniversary exhibition celebrating GIGANT's 50th anniversary in Apeldoorn.
It's a place I've been going to for years for live music and wonderful films. That's why it feels extra special to be part of this exhibition as an artist.
About the GIGALERIE
During its anniversary week, GIGANT will open its doors to the GIGALERIE, a special exhibition featuring works by Apeldoorn artists, designers, and makers.
The theme of this edition is "Through Time," a nod to GIGANT's rich history and the many stories that have emerged here over the past 50 years.
The exhibition can be visited on Saturday, November 22nd (with a festive opening, drinks, and music) and Sunday, November 23rd, when you can view the work in peace.
The GIGALERIE offers a unique opportunity to discover local talent and experience the diverse and vibrant art scene in Apeldoorn.
My work: Raw Earth Paper 253
My work, Raw Earth Paper 253, is part of my Raw Earth Paper Series, a series of small, intimate abstract paintings on handmade paper from De Middelste Molen.
The work is inspired by the terracotta colors of Mallorca and the clear blue sea. The paint incorporates natural materials, including real sand I brought from the island.
The result is an earthy, tactile work that revolves around material, texture, and time.
A small format with a large presence.
